Dosage information
Adults without prior opioid treatment:
- 5–15 mg every 4 to 6 hours
Sustained-release tablets (for long-term treatment):
- Starting dose: 10 mg every 12 hours
- Tablets must be swallowed whole – do not break, chew, or crush, as this may result in a dangerously rapid release of the active ingredient
Adults with opioid tolerance:
- Single dose: 60–80 mg daily
